This might just be one of our favorite holiday cocktails at Fossil Creek Liquor. This cocktail combines the flavors of white chocolate and candy cane with just a touch of fizz to help foster that Christmas spirit this holiday season. This Christmas cocktail tastes like candy and is wonderful for the sweet lovers (age 21 and up). Hint: Buy extra ingredients because these cocktails become an instant hint and you will run out.

Ingredients:
¾ oz. Potter’s peppermint schnapps
¾ oz. Potter’s white crème de cacao
¼ oz. grenadine syrup
Half and half
7-up soda
Hershey’s Chocolate Candy Canes for rimming
Traditional Candy Canes for rimming
Marshmallow topping for ice cream for rimming
A dash of powdered sugar
Ice

Instructions:
Use a rolling pin to crush your two types of candy canes in a gallon bag. Crush the candy canes until there are no large chunks. Rim a martini glass with your marshmallow topping and then press the marshmallow rimmed martini glass onto a plate of crushed candy cane to get a thick candy cane coating along the rim of your glass. Drizzle some of the marshmallow along the inside of the glass and sprinkle powder sugar over your drizzles. Next fill the martini glass with ice. Pour ¾ ounce of Potter’s peppermint schnapps into your glass, ¾ ounce of Potter’s white crème de cacao, and ¼ ounce of grenadine syrup. Next fill the glass to near full with half and half. Top with 7 up soda and serve.

As the weather gets colder during this holiday season there is nothing quite so soothing as a mug of hot chocolate. As a child you may have sipped many hot cocoas before bed on Christmas Eve. At Fossil Creek Liquor we believe that all of the wonder of childhood continues well into adulthood and that includes our love of hot cocoa. For the adults of the house (21 and up) we have a cocktail twist on that traditional hot cocoa. This year try Prancer’s Hot Cocoa while you assist Santa with his Christmas Eve tasks.

Ingredients:
1 package of hot cocoa
1 oz. Potter’s peppermint schnapps
½ oz. Potter’s dark crème de cacao
¼ oz. Potter’s crème de menthe
Whipped cream (for topping)
1 York Peppermint patty for garnish
1 candy cane for stirring

Instructions:
Pour 1 ounce of Potter’s peppermint schnapps, ½ ounce Potter’s dark crème de cacao, ¼ ounce of Potter’s crème de menthe into a coffee mug. Add a full serving of hot cocoa and stir well with a candy cane. Cut a slit into a York peppermint chocolate and place it on the rim of the mug. Top the drink with whipped cream and serve hot.
